An invitation to
raise our voices
The Sustainable Rock represents the position of Cigarbox Man to achieve a paradigm shift in the industry; where the musician goes from being an entertainment figure who goes up on stage to entertain and have fun, to an artist who has an active role, getting involved with the environmental impact and energy consumption that result from their concerts and productions.
This proposal arises from the individual and collective responsibility that we must assume as musicians to reduce our carbon footprint and achieve a sustainable music industry. We make a call to change the rules, to take reins of our role as communicators and spread the right message, the one that can generate a significant change in our planet in the long term.
With mixtures and verses we can inspire people, but with our actions we set the example.
Our goal is to
record the world's first carbon neutral album,
where we will offset our footprint through donations to non-profit organizations that are related to sustainable goals. We want each Cigarbox Man single to “have its own heartbeat”, that every time someone hears our songs they know that this reproduction is a contribution, a grain of sand for the future of the world.
Other of our policies:
- All our backstage trash is recycled after the shows.
- We work together with collectors for recycling in venues that support us.
- Our menus are vegetarian..
- Our CDs and vinyls come in eco format (99% cardboard).
- Our video clips and visuals are focused on leaving messages that cause environmental awareness.
- Donation for each live show.
Our roar,
our sound
Our sound is inspired by capturing and unifying realities from different times. We acidified the blues of the great depression, we modernized seventies rock, we bathed in organic psychedelia that represent the naturalness and humanity of playing music.
Like time travelers, we rescue the best musical and conceptual heritages, collecting the value of each decade to offer something different, fresh and new to our generation.

El Rock Sustentable representa la postura de Cigarbox Man por lograr un cambio de paradigma en la industria; donde el músico pase de ser una figura de entretenimiento que sube a un escenario para divertir y divertirse, a un artista que posea un rol activo, involucrándose con el impacto ambiental y el consumo energético que resultan de sus conciertos y producciones.
Esta propuesta surge de la responsabilidad individual y colectiva que debemos asumir como músicos para disminuir nuestra huella carbono y lograr una industria musical sustentable. Hacemos un llamado a cambiar las reglas, a tomar riendas de nuestro rol como comunicadores y difundir el mensaje correcto, ese que podrá generar a largo plazo, un cambio significativo en nuestro planeta.
